Where the instructional materials categorized under educational technologies? How where they used effectively in the teaching and learning process?


   Yes, all instructional materials are categorized as educational technologies. The laptop, projector and the flash card are all educational technologies. Instructional technology can also be seen as a process of solving educational problems and concerns, which might include motivation, discipline, the drop-out rate, school violence, basic skills, critical thinking, and the whole list of educational concerns.     




Describe the teaching practices employed in the class. How did it expand students acquisition of 21st century skills?



   The teacher possesses superior interpersonal skills, such as patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful situations, the creativity and presentation skills of the teacher are excellent. It enhance the collaboration and communication skills of students which primarily the important skill needed to be address as 21st century skills.

Making my Learning Global

      This activity aims to let the students realize their significant roles in making their learning global.

I think I need to develop my communication skills in order to have a good relationship with the  students so that learning can be easily acquire and I need to be more updated in using modern technologies which are now used in modern teaching in order to have advance learning process.

I will acquire those skills by doing research, studying and practicing these skills. I will gather information to knowledgeable persons in this field, and asks advice on how to acquire or develop such skills.

I think the best thing that I can contribute to our world is to share the importance of responsible use of modern technology especially the proper use of social media. I will focus on the educational use of modern technology to share information so that learning can be easily acquire.

Teaching and Learning: Then and Now

      This activity will allow the students to differentiate teaching and learning in the early generations and learning in the 21st century.

      This activity will be done with partner. There will be two sets of interview to be done - 1) Interview your teacher/partner/relative who experienced learning in the early generations; and 2) interview your classmate//friend/relative who belong to a younger generation. We use books, magazines, newspaper and our surroundings in learning.


We use not just books but also the computer and the internet. Our learning environment is pure collaboration with teacher and student.


Teaching Method


It was more of pen and paper tests


The methods used nowadays are through our performances and actions not just what we write on paper.


Instructional Materials


We use books that are given to us by our teacher and do our research in the library.


Today we don’t just use books and other articles, we have the internet, computers, laptops for learning and teaching. It is not just for games and entertainment but for learning as well.


How was Learning Achieved

Listen to your teacher and read books and if you can’t find the information you need, just go to the library and find books where you can get more information.

Nowadays information can be easily acquired through the help of modern technology. Learning is more about performance and experiencing it yourself.


Assessments

(Traditional Assessment) we refer to the use of paper and pencil objective test.


(Authentic Assessment) we refer to the use of assessment methods that stimulate true-to-life situation.

1. Which among the standards do you practice the least? Why?


      I sometimes practice the Critical Thinking, Problem Solving & Decision Making standard, because whenever I install an application in my phone I ended up logging i to my social media accounts. And sometimes I practice the Digital Citizenship standard because I am disobeying the rules of the application wherein I download applications that are already purchased by someone and posted for free in the black market in the internet. And I even download music illegally.

2. What intended actions will you do to meet the said standard/s?

            I will practice to focus whenever I will install an application that is appropriate to practice my problem solving skills. And I will try to be more illicit in downloading from the internet.

      I designed my diagram that way as a guide to ensure the efficiency of integrated technology about whether it meets the needs or not. In this model, there are 5 phases which prepares you to set and implement your technological integration into your teaching efficiently and successfully.

I will use selected technology via connecting it in our topic to help learners easily understand the lesson for example using laptop and LCD Projector and especially to caught the attention of the students.


It will help my student to being innovative and willing to learn more and to applicable their everyday life.

It emphasized lesson clearly and it provides a good outcome to the learners especially to the visual learners.
